I think late November is the best time to consider a change…. Allows for the upcoming transfer window and gives enough time in the season to ensure safety.
What is going to be certain is some teams will do better than others. It could be the manager is doing their absolute best but no board will sack all the players.
It's the whole bizarre thing Roland, isn't it, once they step over the white line, sometimes what can a manager do if the game plan isn't followed to the letter?
He was very close wasn't he! Yeah quite agree Kevin, both good factors although he could still have the dressing room but lost the support of the fanbase.
Nope, absolute lack of patience which I think has only gotten worse in the past few years too.
Absoluely Trev, lose the fanbase and you are fighting a battle. I do question players' mentality these days. Some turn up when they want.
Patience just isn't there anymore and you're right it has got so much worse.
So much tougher down the league in regard to recruitment. 3/4 years ago I remember a young lad Alfie Tate taking over a club and gone in 3 weeks. He's now on the coaching staff at Rangers.
I'd like to see more youngsters given time and chance. I know the national league is a tough one but you could unearth a gem.

Good sense of timing that Matt, plus also gives time to assess the squad left behind with that next window in mind.
It’s never the players is it?

Sir Alex was allegedly on the brink once upon a time, who knows what would have happened if he had been sacked?
Timing, for me depends on a couple factors. The dressing room and fans. If a manager loses both it's basically curtains.
I would always go back to the inital interview. What are the plans? Are they short term/long term?
If it's long term unless you're having an horrendous amount of results, managers deserve time.
Sadly, patience isn't installed in modern society
