I wholeheartedly agree - since a kid seeing my first game at Highbury as a 10 year old l have always been an Arsenal fan, gradually seeing ticket prices creep up and just being unavailable l am totally disillusioned with top rank football. I discovered Barnet FC through walking football and have been a season ticket holder for a couple of years now. I love it- it’s real, and how the game used to be.

Long live non League football!

Love that Brian! Non-league is not exclusive is it, they want people there to watch, I mean imagine for example those Dulwich players heading into work on Monday morning having played in front of 3000 people, even those as you head downwards in excess of 500, the thrill is there, it's too commercial and robotic at the top, each year I feel non-league has more to offer.

Your comments reflect every reason I support and have always supported Barnet. I have told this tale a few times to the club but my father was wheel chair bound, as a 10 year old boy we used to go together to Underhill. Because of his wheel chair they had to open the big gates to let him in and at this point there would be a wave of the hand and off you go no payment made, even at my tender age I can say it was at this point my love affair with the club started. I know this could not happen in this day and age but never the less the connection at our level still exists even if it has taken some forward thinking from DB & TK to ensure it remains. I am sure there are similar stories of why people not only support Barnet but many other lower league clubs. History would suggest something will kill the goose higher up the order at some point the bubble will have to burst.

I felt the bubble was going to burst when we weren't allowed in to watch games, I thought common sense would actually take over, but it seems greed not just in football has taken over instead, the only way the bubble will start to burst is if people vote with their feet and wallets and stop attending top level games, players will soon complain of no atmosphere watching them play, but ultimately I still don't see it happening.
