Finances definitely tighter to an extent not attending Baggies games, however wth the current ownership might be a blessing!

Sad because football should be family days.

Ticket prices can determine so much so if clubs feel a squeeze they could charge a little less.

An early Dely Boy Only fools and horses episode stated:

"you’d have some coming in wouldn’t you? I mean, I’d rather lose a thre’penny

bit than a fiver, wouldn’t you?

Exactly Kevin! I can't see clubs being directly impacted, it's the indirect effect with their fanbases that will hit them. I can't see too many dropping admission prices however at any level.

No I can't see that either! Sadly, it's a business at the top end of the Pyramid which spirals down to lower levels. Fans are secondary to clubs nowadays.

Main issue is the finances up top. Same in the WSL, Money doesn't get fltered down correctly

Only interest I have in higher levels is my club. Baggies owner turned us into a model for other clubs to admire, envy (on any level how to run a sustainable club) to one on the brink of administration in five years!

This season is going to be tough. We may have to be prepared that some clubs will be in serious financial difficulties. Some might fail.

Clubs will need to budget very carefully and not chase promotion by spending and hoping to recoup later. However, old habits die hard and fans have expectations so that might prove difficult.

Spot on Roland, finer lines this season than ever before I think, hopefully it won't prove fatal for any club going forward.
