A trip round the M25 was the Tuesday journey, the midweek nights really starting to draw in as we head towards the colder and darker evenings of autumn and winter.

Regular readers will know I produce programme columns for eight clubs and try to visit them all at least once a season as a kind of thank you for taking my work.

Glebe are one such club, into a third season now and producing a superb publication. They were due to lay a 3G surface over the summer to protect the long term future of the club but complications arose and the project is on hold.
