Welling Utd vs Barnet in the Isuzu FA Trophy

Wembley is within the sights of those left in the FA Trophy and FA Vase. The last 32 of both competitions were in action at the weekend, well one or two missed out thanks to waterlogged pitches.

Barnet’s trip to Welling Utd was subject to a precautionary inspection early in the morning and thankfully it passed, a trip back to Kent to a ground I know very well.

Park View Road was one of the many around Kent that my late father took me to quite often back in the late 80’s and early 90’s as I was growing up. I saw some fantastic players, the likes of Terry Robbins, Gary Abbott, Mark Hone, and Lee Harrison to name a few.
