Midweek football, and while it was raining hard down in Sussex for the best part of the day further up the country you certainly didn’t need a boat to get around.

For the second Tuesday in a row it was back at The Hive, the trilogy next week isn’t going to happen, the toil and miles on the car and the abundance of football elsewhere means I can afford to be more choosy.

This time last year Barnet were in the middle of a horrendous spell of Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday from the end of January until the end of March, broken only by an England C international game.
