After two trips to Kent it was the turn of Sussex to host a couple of play off finals as we headed into the weekend. Friday night football isn’t much of a norm, it is something I think more clubs should look at dabbling in for increased attendances.
Of course the play offs are staggered across the week and no doubt that does add to the attendance levels and why not. A chance to be home in less than an hour makes a change some weeks and this was one of those.
If at the beginning of the season someone had offered you Three Bridges vs Chichester City in the Isthmian South East Division play-off final then many eyes would quite rightly have been surprised, but both have played a superb season and semi-finals to be 90 minutes away from Step 3.
