The weekend just gone saw the finish to the Premier League season. Now I know I rarely head into that neck of the woods when it comes to writing because despite being a Spurs fan from a very young age there is more about the PL I detest than I enjoy.

I’m not going to head into those, I could be here all day but this idea for a piece came from one of my newest paid subscribers, James Goddard. A supporter of the PL and Liverpool in particular but more importantly he follows the non-league scene in the shape of Woking FC.

It’s Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp which is part of why we’re heading into this piece, but what has that got to do with non-league football when it’s so far detached?
