Saturday afternoon was a long awaited trip to Broadbridge Heath in the Southern Combination Premier Division, not too far from home but a little in the shadow of Isthmian League neighbours Horsham. Both have in common however new grounds which suit each club perfectly for their size, and potential to expand for both.

The last time I watched Heath was when I visited the old ground next door complete with running track. I’ve never been a fan of those around a football pitch with the viewing areas so far away from the action you need a set of binoculars.

The Bears are enjoying a good season and are right in the promotion race to reach the Isthmian League, a good burger on offer I had seen as well across social media, it has to be tried.
