Question marks over agreed deal leave all in limbo

Sometimes you wait around for something to write about, be that good, be that news some are not expecting to hear or even wanting to hear about. This story broke about an hour ago on as I write on Friday evening.

It’s 2025 and we’re still talking about clubs in trouble. Is it really a surprise when most are technically insolvent and living well beyond their means despite a huge wakeup call just five years ago?

Add to that the game still attracts those rogue owners. Outside of non-league football we’ve seen the struggles for Reading and Sheffield Wednesday to name just a couple for those who support the club through thick and thin.
