Shrimpers too strong for Brennan's Bees
Tuesday night was a 4th Barnet game in a row, something I’d not done for a very long time, coupled that with a trip up on Monday for a sponsor’s day, my car will be grateful for a lack of miles in the coming weeks.
On paper a visit from Southend Utd looked like an intriguing prospect, the Bees four games unbeaten and the Shrimpers seven without defeat, five clean sheets and just two goals conceded, clearly one side had to give in this one.
Dean Brennan opted for a mostly 3-4-2-1 formation in an attempt to push the visitors back and take them on man for man, the four being two midfielders in Harry Pritchard and Ryan De Havilland, wing backs in Idris Kanu and Ben Wynter.
