Angels denied by late equaliser
Just when I thought we’d seen the last of the ‘pitch inspection’ tweets followed by waterlogged pitches this weekend it came back to bite us on the bum in the South East. Some areas certainly faired worse than others but it meant reverting back to having a plan B in place.
My original destination was Horndean vs Brockenhurst in the Wessex League, two sides I had hoped to see separately but this was the next best thing, only to fall foul of the Hampshire rain and game off.
Plan B was to head west still but into the National League South and a first time visit to the Westleigh Park Stadium to see Havant & Waterlooville take on Tonbridge Angels, the home side clinging onto a play off place, the visitors chasing hard to secure one.
