Sutton Athletic ready to kick off

Whilst Barnet enjoy (not sure that’s the correct word) a run of six games away from home it gives me a chance to get elsewhere to see a few friends and a few different teams and grounds.

Saturday was a trip home to Kent to watch Rusthall take on Sutton Athletic in the Southern Counties East League Premier Division at Jockey Farm, a first ever visit for me and a chance to see a couple of mates I’ve known for nearly 25 years, Giles Newman and Guy Rowden.

The Rustics are enjoying an excellent season so far sitting second currently and within the top 10 for pretty much the full six and a half months of the season and with the title seemingly in the hands of Erith & Belverdere the only other promotion spot will come from a points per game ratio.
