Southend Utd. Just when you think it can’t get any worse it goes a step further and at some point in the very near future the life support machine could well be disconnected.

It’s fair to say that over the last few years and not just months the Shrimpers have limped from one crisis to another and rather than things being fixed they just get a sticky plaster.

Trying to fathom the truth from the rumours across social media this weekend and indeed last week as the players and staff returned to training after the summer break is difficult.
