We’ve seen the non-league landscape change a lot over the last few years, not just at National League level but across the board. The game has to change and evolve constantly for fear of being left behind and you can see that people move with the times.
Once the game returned in 2020 we saw an influx of people coming to watch, crowds were up as fans were denied the chance to watch anything from the Premier League down to National League levels. Was it to be a blip until those supporters could return to where they wanted to really be? Or would the numbers sustain themselves and create new and bigger fanbases going forward?
As it was numbers didn’t drop and attendances stayed healthy well into last season when fans could return fully to all games wherever they wanted. It’s testament to the clubs, their volunteers, and the facilities that I believe made people want to come back again.
