Hawks running out of second chances
Second half comeback secures vital three points for Dartford
In around 20 days’ time the league campaign is finished. Not the season mind you, play-off’s, cup finals etc still to round things off and by the third week of May we’re done.
Games are running out for quite a few, while four or five weeks ago clubs had plenty left and it seemed like there was time to make a late run towards the top five or seven and even to banish the relegation fears.
With that in mind, looking for a game to watch has meant one or two clubs on the list I wanted to get to this year might have to wait until next season, this time of the season it needs to be those who need the points for reasons above.
My choice at the weekend was heading less than an hour away to Havant & Waterlooville, a side who have been stuck in the relegation zone for a majority of the season. Their visitors to Westleigh Park were fellow strugglers Dartford who have been sucked into a battle for survival, anything less than a win for either side was a bad result.
