Opportunities exist for those released by top club academies
Across youth football there are a lot of coaching schools and academies trying to provide a pathway for kids to make their way in the game. Others pick up those who don’t make it through the Premier and Football League clubs own way and give them an education and belief they can still have a career at some level.
One that is appearing more and more on social media with a good presence and increasingly good track record is the Kinetic Foundation. In partnership with the Harris Foundation they concentrate on the post-16 era, those who’ve completed their time at football clubs but were released.
The Kinetic Academy gives them a platform to continue their education whilst still pursuing their football dreams. It’s not to say all will return to the top levels and some will have to go the long way via non-league clubs but there is certainly more acknowledgement of these academies that other clubs have missed a trick by releasing them.
