Dragons Inch Closer To Safety

3am work starts this week meant I couldn’t venture too far on Tuesday evening for a game of football and as we’re nearing the last few weeks of the season the choices will thin out even more as we close in on the end of the campaign.

Just a few miles up the road was the destination to ensure I still managed to get at least a few hours sleep before the ungodly hour the alarm was set for. Try as I do this time of year to pick a match with something riding on it, the only choice between two matches was for one of these.

Wick have had a solid first season back in the Southern Combination Premier Division. Nothing spectacular but the brief for Lee Baldwin and Jon Tucker was to keep the club in the division. Their opponents Crawley Down Gatwick I last saw a couple of months ago exiting the Isuzu FA Vase at home to Fleet Town after a record run in the competition.
