With clubs at Step 5 and 6 occasionally still sharing their grounds with cricket clubs and others on a groundshare, there are the odd occasions for a Sunday fixture knocking about.
The opening weekend of the season for me was spent at The Hive on Saturday afternoon but Sunday threw up an Emirates FA Cup tie closer to home which not long after the draw was moved to the alternative day.
Littlehampton Town whose debut Isthmian season saw them finish mid-table last time out were hosts to newly promoted into the same division Erith & Belvedere. I had actually spent time this summer reading the Deres full history, kindly sent to me by Brian Spurrell.
