The play-off’s. Finally we were here. It seems almost an eternity has passed since Barnet made themselves known this season within the top seven and despite limping over the line a little a place at the end of season party was deserved.
A prediction of 12th – 16th back in August was fully blown out of the water as 5th place was secured two weeks prior with victory over Solihull Moors, the wait then for who the opponent was going to be, local rivals and serial play-off contenders Boreham Wood or Football League hopefuls Bromley.
Indeed it ended up the former making the trip to The Hive in front of a another very decent sized crowd. With the Bees having not lost to either side over the four league meetings, it would need a first victory to deny Barnet a trip to Notts County this coming Sunday.
