Entertaining game despite the stalemate
Bank Holiday football was extended into Tuesday this week with a trip down the road to the New Forest and some Wessex League action. It was on the radar to head to Brockenhurst last year but I just couldn’t make it fit and having gotten to know the Badgers first team manager Patrick McManus over the last year and a half, it was near the top of the list for this season.
I had been past the ground last summer whilst on holiday in the area, Bashley is another on the list for this year, a lovely part of the world even just for a day trip if you live fairly close.
Rain greeted us all the way down and was due to maintain itself for the course of the evening, but luckily it stopped before kick off and didn’t reappear all evening. Of course that made the surface that much more slick too, and in some cases for a more entertaining game.
